What to expect when you reach out.
This process describes new psychotherapy inquiries. Family Consultation and Clinical Supervision follow separate inquiry and scheduling paths.
Send a general inquiry
Use the contact form for basic contact information and a nonclinical message. Do not include private health details.
Have a brief consultation
The free 10–15 minute call is a prospective psychotherapy fit and inquiry call, not treatment, assessment or Family Consultation.
Verify payment details
Confirm private-pay details or verify insurance participation, benefits and authorization requirements.
Schedule an initial session
If AlignCare appears to fit, paperwork is complete and an appointment is available, schedule the first session.
Build the plan together
The first meetings focus on your concerns, context, goals and whether the working relationship feels useful.
A conversation, not a performance.
Kristin may ask what brings you in, how the concern is affecting daily life, relevant history, current supports and what you hope will be different. You can ask questions, name concerns and say when you are not ready to discuss something.
Helpful to have ready
- Your calendar and preferred format
- Insurance information, if applicable
- A private telehealth space, if meeting online
- Questions about fees, policies or fit
You do not need to prepare a perfect explanation of what is wrong.
An inquiry is not a promise of an opening.
AlignCare currently has limited availability for new psychotherapy clients. Availability varies by service, schedule and appointment format. Please ask about current openings, telehealth options or waitlist availability.
